Concerts at
St Andrew’s Jerusalem
How to book
St Andrew’s Scots Church Jerusalem is highly valued as a spiritual centre and a musical venue where all are welcome. We invite you to consider using our space, whose acoustic is exceptionally well tuned for choral and instrumental concerts.
Information for Concert Organisers
Please make your approach to the Minister, Rev Dr Stewart Gillan. An initial conversation will cover matters of date and time availability, size of choir or ensemble, duration, size of estimated audience, and costs. Please note that our maximum capacity 120, including performers, audience and any staff.
All being well, we will send a contract with terms and conditions, including set-up and closing times, parking availability, accessibility, use of the terrace, capacity and cost. The indicative donation is 1,800 NIS for 2024–25, depending on length of time and numbers.
Arrangements can be made for a paid bar service staffed by the Scots House Hotel, which will incur an additional charge. We will require a deposit of 50% of the cost one month before the date of the concert, and an estimate of numbers from you.
Please complete the Enquiry Form below. We look forward meeting you and our journey to the concert itself. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Thanks, Stewart

Dear friends,
We know that St Andrew's Scots Memorial Church is a wonderful venue for concerts. But our church is a sacred place. Its first purpose is worship.
We are pleased that so many people wish to use the church, but they must be responsible for its furnishings and respect its purpose. All bookings for concerts require a damage deposit of NIS 500, on top of the deposit for the concert itself. Any breakage must be paid for.
This money will be returned in full if the church is left as it was before the concert. If the church is not left as it was, part or all of the deposit will be retained.
Please note the following in particular:
-
All furniture must be put back exactly as it was found.
-
The donation in 2024 is NIS 1800, with a deposit of 50% payable one month before the concert, and the balance due within 7 days of the performance. Payment details will be available on the Booking Form.
-
Christian symbols and worship items must not be removed.
-
Any breakages or damage must be reported to reception in the Scots House Hotel.
-
The vestry is a church office for the use of the minister and church officers. Performers are welcome to use the vestry but need to leave it tidy afterwards. All food, drinks, packaging, etc., must be removed.
-
For concerts with an audience of 80 or more, it may be desirable to ask us to provide an additional staff person for the concert, in which case an extra NIS 100 will be payable: please advise us in advance.
-
Additional donations are of course always very welcome.
-
The deposit will be retained if the concert is cancelled less than a fortnight before the date of performance.
If the concert is cancelled less than five days beforehand, the full amount will be payable.
